I want to talk today about some equipment that helped me a lot in one of my "side projects".
I want to talk about the Arduino Uno R3.
Not to get into to much detail Wikipedia gives us the best definition of what Arduino is:
,,Arduino is an open-source computer hardware and software company, project and user community that designs and manufactures microcontroller-based kits for building digital devices and interactive objects that can sense and control objects in the physical world." (Wikipedia, 21/11/2015)
If you want more technical details you can go HERE.
In essence it is like a motherboard that help you control other things, from cylinders to motors, and create complex circuitry with gyroscopes, flex sensors and much more.
I made myself a simple kit which cost me around 100 euros.
Besides these I also bought:
A gyroscope with an accelerometer.
And a 16x2 LED display
By the way any Arduino board can be connected to a laptop or PC easily via USB, and also the guys from Arduino made a simple coding software for the boards which is free to download, and also they have A LOT of tutorials and examples on their site.
Acces it from here
